We invite you to make a trip from Mongolia to the Lake Baikal along ancient "tea route".
Arrival to Ulhan-Baator. Transfer to the "Bayangol" Hotel 3*. Check-in.
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour in Ulhan-Baator, situated on the shores of river Tuul, with visit to the monastery Gandan, one of operating Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia. The city is built along the Tuul river and is surrounded be picturesque mountains. Lunch at the main Ger (national Mongolian felt yurt) of the "Chinghiz Khan" restaurant. You will have an opportunity to watch tea ceremony in Mongolian style and try tea, according to the Mongolian traditions. Excursion to the Museum of last Mongolian Khan Bogd, who died in 1924. At the museum's exhibition you will see Khan's Throne, Crown and robes. Dinner. In the evening you will enjoy folk show.
Breakfast. Departure from Ulhan-Baator by a comfortable tourist coach. After passing through custom procedure in Altan Bulak you enter Russian in Kyakhta on Russian - Mongolian border. In Kyakhta you will be offered lunch in the Tea - House at the Old Railway Station. The lunch will be completed be a unique and traditional Russian Tea Party, it's procedure will be performed in the same way as 300 ago when the tea first penetrated Russia from Mongolia. Then proceed father to Ulhan-Ude (about 250 km from Kyakhta). Visiting of functioning Lamaistic Datsan in Ivolginsk. Check-in at the Gesser Hotel***. Dinner at the "Dangina" restaurant with folk show. During the dinner you will also learn the way inhabitants of Buryatia have tea. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast. Departure to Irkutsk (440 km from Ulhan-Ude). During trip there will be several stops at some most beautiful places of the Lake Baikal to take pictures. Dinner at the Utulik restaurant (3.5 hours driving from Ulhan-Ude) will be followed by Tea Party. You will be offered tea of mixed brands - inhabitants of Lake Baikal shores used to drink tea in this way. Arriving to Irkutsk. Accommodation at the "Baikal Business Center" Hotel ****. Supper at the restaurant of the hotel.
Breakfast. City tour. Trip to the Lake Baikal to Listvyanka village for the full day (65 km). Visit to Buryat Holy "OBO" - place for offerings. Excursion to the Museum of Wooden Art in the open air "Taltsi", here inside one of the original Russian log houses you will have lunch and enjoy authentic Russian way of having tea. During the Tea Party you'll be served by young maidens dressed in typical Russian clothes of 18 - 19 centuries and enjoy watching Folk show. After the show you'll proceed further to the lake and the Shaman rock, located in the outflow of the Angara River from the Lake Baikal. Excursion to the Baikal Ecological Museum, displaying the items of the lake's unique features of flora & fauna: stuffed animals, rich collections of minerals, different kinds of fish, etc. Visit to St. Nicolas - The Miracle - Worker Orthodox Church. Boat trip along the Lake Baikal. Return to Irkutsk. Evening of "Russian Romantic Song" performed by famous Svetlana Konovalova (soprano soloist) and farewell dinner in the Prince Volkonsky Mansion (present Decembrist' Museum) with tea- party according to traditions of Russian nobles and aristocracy families.
